Brand & Strategy Examples

Brand & Strategy selects that represent our work

  • Branding
  • Strategy

A brand is more than a logo. It's the expression of a company and an organization conveyed through every interaction. Our brand & strategy work is focused on extending the brands that we work with, helping our clients infuse their brand into every action that they take.

Choose Santa Cruz

We re-branded a city government department to make it approachable and to support their mission of being a friendly, go-to resource for people who are launching and expanding businesses in Santa Cruz.

Stanford Research Park

Previously invisible to people who work in Stanford Research Park, the forward-looking management of SRP is leading an effort to encourage more community interaction and to make people aware of transportation options to the very first R&D park in Silicon Valley.

Santa Cruz Symphony

With the arrival of a new Maestro, the Symphony wanted a new brand and library of visual assets to express their new direction.

The Renewal Workshop

It's not often that you get the opportunity to create a brand for the pioneers of a new industry. We were thrilled to work with The Renewal Workshop and stand behind their goal of keeping tons of perfectly good clothing out of landfills.

KB Farms

A company with a history going back to WWII, we were honored to refresh the brand of this Monterey Bay flower grower.

Hashman Infused

Bold. Memorable. Distinctive. Professional. The branding and packaging that we created for Hashman helps them stand out in the marijuana edibles industry.

Fruition Brewing

We're big into craft beer here at Cosmic, so we were stoked when these local brewers came to us to create their brand. Look closely to see the subtle background element.

Companion Bakeshop

Who doesn't want to re-brand an amazing bakery?

Greenpower

Green energy activists, the Greenpower brand had to strike the right balance between an energy company and an advocacy group without alienating either audience.

Portal

The Portal brand needed to look techy, but consumer friendly. We struck upon the idea of integrating the green color as part of their logo that also serves as the power indicator on their final product.

ICIX

The ICIX logo conveys the idea of collaboration across trading partner networks that is central to the services, solutions, and platform that they provide.

Cabrillo Works

Cabrillo College's Career Technical Education courses and programs needed a more modern look to let their website visitors understand that the community college offers modern services that can lead to jobs. It also had to extend across all of the different departments within the college.

Beverly's Crafts & Fabrics

With 19 locations across California, Beverly's needed a unified brand that still made each store feel like it was unique to the community they serve.

Change It

A brand with several layers of meaning for a startup social giving platform

Superior Foods

This global frozen foods leader needed a unified brand refresh and accompanying visual assets after they combined their international and domestic divisions.

Ampush

Ampush needed a brand refresh, updated messaging, new website, and digital strategy to reflect their current industry leader standing and updated Facebook & Twitter advertising solutions.

Nextspace

The coworking space from which we launched, we were happy to help create a new website and brand assets for them as they evolved from a single to multiple locations.

Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco

Custom made icons based on the tiled iconography associated with the Greek Orthodox religion. Their rich visual legacy inspired our design work.

Sweat Guru

We hand crafted the wordmark to be clean, memorable and fun while appealing to their mostly female audience of people looking to discover, book, and pay for fitness classes online and where fitness professionals manage and grow their business.

Growmada

An early stage startup, Growmada offers an online platform for ethical consumers to purchase luxury artisanal products, and where people can invest in the artisan-based social enterprises that produce those products in emerging markets. The brand needed bridge all three audiences on their platform and the visual elements were designed to help attract Round 1 VC funding.

Atlas Geotechnical

A "muddy boots" geotechnical firm that solves intensely intricate engineering problems in North America and across the Pacific Rim, Atlas was looking for a brand that references traditional engineering, yet feels modern. The fun icon set conveys the various project types that they tackle. Fun fact: The icon set has been featured in a university class on design and in Pictos, a book on iconography published in 2013 by Index Books.
